RPCGB Aids City of Homewood with Plan to Build New Sidewalks

Birmingham – According to the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham (RPCGB), the City of Homewood has decided to set aside $900,000 from its 2012 budget in order to build 11,377 feet of new sidewalks.

“Our sidewalks are some of the oldest in the city,” said Councilman Peter Wright, a representative of Ward 5 in the Hollywood section of Homewood. Based on information from citizens requests as well as input from City staff and local officials, the RPCGB and the City of Homewood have created a list of potential new sidewalks.
